La Fortaleza de Haro

Beautiful lodging of medieval architecture built from basaltic rock, located next to the Galapagos National Park, ideal for relaxing with family, friends, or alone. 10 minutes from Av. Charles Darwin and the beach in a pleasant and safe walk.

Roberto Haro, owner and creator, moved to the Galapagos Island in 1978 and became one of the first Ecuadorian naturalist guides, Gianna, his wife and Hotel Manager, visited the islands in 1989 and were meant to be together. Now, they not only have a beautiful family, but they have also fulfilled their dream of having accommodation and showing the Galapagos Island to the world.

Guest reviews

" Wow, what a place! It’s like a little castle, but way more comfortable. The pool was clean, warm, chlorine free, and a great way to relax after a day of exploring the islands. Hammocks and patio were great resources. We were so tired everyday, we never did get to try the hot tub but it was nice that they had one. We totally underestimated how much time we should spend in the Galapagos, at least 5 days would have been smarter. I expect I’ll be back!"
